Solutia's
Evolution
As 1,100 employees migrate from Building G at the Monsanto Lindbergh Campus, Solutia's new office space continues to evolve at Maryville Centre. In addition to providing a wide array of interior and exterior electrical services at the 264,952 square foot facility under general contractor, Duke Construction. Bell also helped provide a new look with new technology. Utilizing technology that emanated from Europe but which is new to the construction industry in the United States.
Bell installed 10,000 linear feet of indirect lighting consisting of electronic ballasts and T5 florescent lamps. The benefits offered by this technology are twofold: This lighting offers considerably more lumen output per lamp and also means a greater energy savings as ballasts and T5 florescent lamps demand less power than traditional lighting. Bell also installed 160 pulse-start ballast/lamp combination fixtures which are also unique in that this combination lighting provides twenty percent more lumen output compared to a standard ballast/lamp combination.
