LEED, follow or get out of the way

Bell has made “green” innovation an integral part of their business well before "green energy savings was in. “It was just the right thing to do and an effective way to save our customers a great deal of money on ongoing energy costs,” says Charlie Pavalec, President of Bell Electrical Contractors. Bell is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, which is the sponsor of the LEED program. The company also has a LEED Accredited Professional on staff who has demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles of the LEED Rating System. LEED certified projects must meet strict standards aimed at improving the environment.
